摘要
Central nervous system (CNS) cancers are one of the leading cancer types in the world. Analysing gene hubs involved in CNS cancer is important for predicting therapies. We have used gene expression data from one of the common brain cancer type (Pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma (PCPG)) for hub gene identification. We have used density-based (MCODE and ClusterOne) algorithms and cytohubba tool to identify hub genes and, R and Cytoscape for data analysis. According to results, RPS4X and RPL37A are common hub genes in all networks. There are three hub gene networks (identified using MCODE and ClusterOne hub gene networks which can be used as a classification feature in future studies. HNRNPA2B1 gene is connecting major PPI complexes in PCPG cancers. Ribosomal protein S4 genes as hub genes play a significant role in PCPG protein interaction networks.
