Research on the Construction of Ecological Industry Chain for Iron and Steel Industry

As the basis of our traditional industries, the iron and steel industry plays an important role in national economic development. At the same time the development of the steel industry has some problems such as low degree of industrial concentration, serious pollution and contradictions of product structure which is urgent to resolve. Based on the principles of industrial ecology, this paper analyzes the necessity of eco-industrial chain(EIC) construction facing with the practical problems in the development of the iron and steel industry, and then proposes corresponding proposals to the iron and steel industry in China which will establish and develop EIC. Finally the results may be useful for the establishment of EIC and development of circular economy in China.
