摘要
ReneÉ Girard, an anthropologist, defined robot movement resembling that of human beings as uncanny valley. Girard developed an interpretative theory, which was applied extensively in social science. The theory concerned a broad class of situations ranging from economics to religion where human agents formed desires. Desire was a familiar term in philosophy and psychoanalysis. Girard gave it a structural and a metaphysical meaning by taking desire as a fundamental building block of social interactions.
