In the manufacturing of pallets and in the process of maintenance, it is essentially important to forecast the load carrying capacity and ability to resist deformation. To solve the issue. an experimental research was carried out using 47 pallets of serial production. For the given purpose, a special supplementary device is made and the equipment ZWICK Z 100 for testing materials is used which enables to mathematically process the results obtained in the test. To determine the modulus of elasticity for the pallet boards, a specially developed method was used. After that, the pallets were destroyed using the method for testing the flexural strength of four points. As a result of the mathematical data processing, correlation of the pallet threshold strength and the modulus of elasticity is found which is characterized by the correlation coefficient R = 0.84. To improve the equipment for testing, supplementary experiments are required which could enable developing an equipment applicable in manufacturing for the purpose to forecast the pallet load carrying capacity and strength without destroying them.
