Study on the Application of Information Technology in College English Teaching

The author starts the paper with the theory of the information technology, further explores the the integration of information technology and English teaching in vocational college. Combined with teaching practice, I researched on how to realize the integration of information technology and English courses, trying to adapt to the new situation and meet the teaching requirements, I hope, with my attempt, vocational college English teaching will be improved rapidly. With rapid development of the science and technology people's life is relies more and more on information. As a tool subject, the importance of English has come out apparently. English, one of the most important information carriers has become the most widely used language in all areas of human life. As a vocational college English teachers, how to develop curriculum resources, expand channels of learning and using to provide students with curriculum resources close to practice, close to life, close to the era, with healthy and abundant contents is a big challenge. It's a joint research project. we attempt to the reform of English curriculum by actively using the abundant teaching resources like network information technology, expanding the ways of learning and using English and encouraging students to participate actively in the curriculum resource, which is our specific implementation measures. In this sense, the application of information technology in English teaching of vocational colleges undoubtedly is one of the important ways of English teaching reform. It is the route one must take to promote the English teaching reform forward. Through years of practice and study on the problems of English teaching, integration of information technology and vocational college English teaching, I would like to share my viewpoints with colleagues.
