A novel system of feature based products whole life cycle design

摘要
This paper presents a novel system of feature based products whole life cycle design. The proposed system is composed of products layer, sub-assembly layer, part layer, characteristics layer, property layer and geometry layer to integrate all related information of products whole life cycle. The system can build the products' design model rapidly and in which the involved issues of product whole life cycle can be analyzed and evaluated. According to the result of evaluation, the suggestions of redesign can be presented, and the design parameter can be modified, then the model can be regenerated and exported to CAD system. Finally, the practicability of the proposed method is verified through an example.
