The effects of particle size of HZSM-5 zeolite and silicon sources for preparation of HZSM-5 on the reaction performance of methane dehydro-aromatization over Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst were studied by changing the synthesis conditions and systems. The results showed that the catalytic performance of Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst in which the HZSM-5 was synthesized via soluble water-glass was better than that of Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst in which the HZSM-5 was synthesized via silica sol. H-1 MAS NMR measurements revealed that the amount of Bronsted acid sites in the former is more than that in the latter. In addition, by using the HZSM-5 zeolite with smaller particle size, the corresponding Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst shows better catalytic stability.
