摘要
In this paper, we introduce the multicanonical (MUC) sampling technique to efficiently simulate the performance of communication systems. MUC can be considered as a unique importance sampling technique that employs an iterative procedure to converge to the optimal biasing of the distribution of the system random sources. As one example, multicanonical sampling is applied to the performance simulation of optimum combining of multiple antennas in the presence of cochannel interference in fading channels.
