Requirements and results of the accreditation of testing laboratories for milk yield and quality control

Guaranty for high accuracy in milk analysis is an important component of LKV management. The great precision of laboratory results has made a decisive contribution to the acceptance and confidence of milk producers, breeders' associations and dairies. Laboratory errors have serious financial consequences. The necessity and the consequences of accreditation and of quality management are presented. Emphasis must be laid on the fact that the awareness of the laboratory staff for quality factors has improved.
