摘要
The present study aims to assess the clinical conditions and nursing care in hospitalized patients with neonatal asphyxia. Multipurpose intensive care unit. Agustin Zubillaga Pediatric University Hospital, in the city of Barquisimeto, Lara State. Regarding the research methodology, it presents a quantitative approach, descriptive type of field design, non-experimental, retrospective cross-sectional type, in which the patients who were admitted with the diagnosis of neonatal asphyxia in the ICU were taken as the population. of the aforementioned institution. Through the review of the clinical history, the data collection and emptying in a file and its subsequent analysis will be carried out; The results reflect that the clinical conditions of neonatal asphyxia, the highest percentage of them was predominantly female, eutocic delivery, normal weight, the most relevant clinical commitments were the average gestational age of 37 to 40 weeks and the type of asphyxia. severe. The neurological alterations were severe hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and the main multisystem alterations were cardiomyopathies occupying the first place with 100% in newborns with neonatal asphyxia. Regarding nursing care in patients with neonatal asphyxia, according to the diagnoses, a higher percentage of nursing actions were observed by the nursing staff, however, in the diagnoses of risk of bleeding and acute pain, lower compliance was found. of nursing actions, demonstrating the lack of knowledge about comprehensive multisystemic care in the newborn with neonatal asphyxia.
