Nonlinear Non-Local averaging for image de-noising

摘要：
The Non-Local (NL) averaging method for image denoising was recently introduced The method shows very good filtering properties for additive Gaussian distributed noise. However, the performances of the NL averaging method for non-Gaussian, especially impulsive, noise is not satisfactory. In this paper, we propose a novel filtering scheme, called Nonlinear Non-Local OVLNL) averaging that has better performances in mixed (Gaussian and impulsive) noise environments. Experiments comparing the performances of the NL, NLNL and other related approach are presented
