Synthesis and characterization a series of Norfloxacin-transition metal complexes

In this paper, we reported a series of Norfloxacin-transition metal complexes [Cu(HNOR)(2)](2)center dot 4Cl center dot 4H(2)O 1, [Fe (HNOR)(2)center dot 2H(2)O]center dot SO4 center dot 7H(2)O 2, [Zn(HNOR)(2)]n center dot 2nH(2)O center dot nOH 3 and [Co(HNOR)(2)]n center dot 2nH(2)O center dot nOH 4 (H2NOR = Norfloxacin) by hydrothermal process and single-crystal X-ray diffraction structural characterization. Structure analyses reveal that complex 1 and complex 2 are zero-dimensional structure, complex 3 is a two-dimensional layer structure, complex 4 is one-dimensional chain structure. Through the hydrogen bonding interactions and pi-pi interactions, four complexes turned into stable two-dimensional structure. At the same time, the photocatalytic tests demonstrate that the obtained complex 1 has a good photocatalytic activity.
