Study on the Intellectual Property Management of National Engineering Research Center in China

The level of intellectual property (IP) management of National Engineering Research Center (NERC) is of key importance to technology transfer. This study analyzed the current status of the IP management of NERC in China. Firstly, Comprehensive evaluations were given on demonstrated samples selected from various industries, and then the IP management of agriculture industry was chosen as representative for detailed analysis. Once confining the boundary of the main problems therein, several advices and suggestions on the optimization of the IP,management in NERC, i.e. setting up the organization of IP management scientifically, defining the measurement process of IP management and strengthening the soft-support of regulations and policies, were proposed from the perspectives of system reconstruction, system refinement and system supply, respectively.
