摘要
Changes in society and increasing demands for teacher's work belong to the components of educational process. Some principles and values are highlighted, reflecting current and anticipated needs in society, such as the principle of justice in education, teacher's education, or individualization of education. The above principles are also reflected in the upcoming National Program for the Development of Education - Learning Slovakia. An important role in fulfilling the requirements for teacher's work at present should also be the professional ethics of teaching. The teacher as moral agent develops the critical independent thinking of students, teaches them to be responsible, and to respect others by applying the principles and values of ethics of social consequences as well as other ethical concepts. For this reason, it is necessary to emphasize the interdependence of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values, and to stress their importance in solving different problems not only in the school environment but also in the ordinary life of individual.
