摘要
Planning, organization, coordination and management of tourism tourism management summarily demands community process, affiliation system and network that integrate all actors and stakeholders of the destination. Besides actors with economic interest others also play a great role in a destination's life cycle. In this way public and private sector and civil society show themselves in tourism management and Tourism Destination Management Organization (DMO). Elementary criterion of these DMOs is that their legal forms make them component of the civil society: they are decisively associations or nonprofit corporations. Thanks to the VII. Hungarian TDM Conference in May 2012, we can also affirm that DMOs operate as "civil tourism local governments". This paper studies the theoretic framework of DMOs, enter into details of content and structure of DMOs with special emphasis on civil society. Instead of presenting general tasks and competences of the examined organizations, specific examples are described in order to emphasize and identify their roles in civil sphere.
