摘要
A new approach in stochastic modeling of daily flows in semiarid climate has been proposed recently. This approach has been used for the purpose of daily flows simulation at the Bakel station on the Senegal river (West Africa). Very good results have been obtained as far as the preservation of overall and monthly statistics of the observed daily flow series is concerned. In this paper, an assessment of the model performance is made. The key points are the duration and deficit of the drought events, the time of occurrence and intensity of the annual peak flows, and finally, the monthly and annual flow series obtained by aggregation of synthetic daily flow series. The results obtained from the analysis of these specific points confirm the overall good performance of the simulation model.
