摘要
Deep wound infections following resection of the anterior thoracic wall are severe complications. This case report illustrates the multidisciplinary management of complications by thoracic surgery and plastic reconstructive surgery in a patient with an infection of the prosthetic material after chest wall reconstruction, which finally necessitated defect coverage with a free myocutaneous tensor fasciae latae muscle flap. In this case the interdisciplinary collaboration enabled optimal complication management with favorable patient outcome.
