AADHAR License Management (ALM) System in India Using AADHAR IDs

Number of accident count reported elevates with respect to the number of vehicles on road. Several reasons are being spotted as responsible for road accidents. One of the major causes is because of non-licensees on road (a driver without a valid license). Though, several measures are taken by the concerned departments, it is complicated to manage the non-licensees on road. Moreover, another meticulous cause for accidents on road is violation of driving rules (helmet, seatbelt, etc.). This research work concentrates on solving these two problems that would perhaps reduce the number of accidents to a considerable amount. The proposed AADHAR license management (ALM) system employs AADHAR ID which is implemented in INDIA as an identification card for every individual. In addition, this work proposes a new version of AADHAR ID which embeds the license within it. Furthermore, the management system employs iris scanning. Hence, the identity of the driver is ensured for perfection. Since, the AADHAR ID is embedded with a memory unit and unique identification number (UIN), it would store the iris pattern of the card holder and without its verification with the actual driver, the cardholder cannot drive the vehicle. This system is believed to reduce the non-licensees on road and would ensure the drivers to adopt the safety precautionary measure that has to be taken during driving.
