INFORMATION SOCIETY IN ROMANIA AND ECONOMIC GROWTH CONCERNING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The concept of "information society" describes an economy and a society in which access, achievement, accumulation, processing, transmission, spreading and use of knowledge and information represent a major component. Romania, a county involved in convergence process, on economic and social scheme, towards European Union system, stunning regain a great disparity, in comparison with developed countries in this area. However, there is a discrepancy at present, but Romania spectacular recuperate in last Years, this feature also noticed as well in the macroeconomic indicators values. The analysis consider some major aspects of,typical for Romania, and the implications of this study describe the Information Society development consequences length on economy as to sustainable development.
