Computer-aided opportunities in modernization of residential buildings

Nowadays a huge part of energy is depleted in buildings. In order to reduce the energy consumption different retrofit technologies are applied. As every building and every energy consumer is different, the same modernization technic cannot be used for all buildings. This paper shows a computer-aided opportunity, which is able to simulate different modernization technics for the same building in, therefore the best opportunity can be selected. In this paper four different family houses are examined with a developed computer-aided methodology. Finally, the simulated energy consumption data and the energy consumption values from the typology of residential buildings are compared
