Diffraction of a plane wave by an aperture composed of two different resistive half planes between isorefractive media

摘要
Diffracted fields of a plane electromagnetic wave by an aperture that is composed of two half planes placed apart from each other on the same plane, and both located between two lossless isorefractive media are investigated. The half planes have surface resistances that are different from each other. Firstly, initial field is determined by assuming the scatterers do not exist. Total geometrical optics (GO) field is written by taking the geometry of the problem into consideration. Scattered geometrical optics field is obtained by subtracting the initial field from the total geometrical optics field. Secondly, diffracted fields caused by the edges of the two half planes are evaluated by means of the method of transition boundary (MTB). Diffracted fields are evaluated by using the Wiener-Hopf factorization which includes the Malyughinetz function. The split function is employed for the transition from the geometrical optics waves to the diffracted fields. The obtained diffracted fields are plotted for some parameters of the problem.
