Theoretical and documentary bases for the study of the Information Structure and the structural analysis of media messages

The article constructs a theoretical foundation that attempts to reinforce the personality of the discipline Structure of the Information, at the time that European Space of Higher Education is being established in Spain. The White Book that inspires the new degrees on Communication takes as one of its primary goals the instruction in "Information and Communication Structure" and contemplates this discipline as compulsory education. The interrelationship between the study of the media ownership and its messages -using the informative journalistic document, the cultural background and a methodology of analysis as tools to be used - are the fundamental pillars of the theories proposed in this paper.
