Optimal Allocation of Energy Storage for Distributed Wind Farms Under Cost Minimization Constraints

Aiming at the problems of low total grid-connected capacity of wind power and high wind curtailment rate existing in the current wind farm energy storage configuration method. In this paper, a distributed wind farm energy storage optimization configuration method under the constraint of cost minimization is designed. The self-adjustment interval of the wind farm is set, and the probability density function of Weibull distribution with single peak and two parameters is used to describe the wind speed. Utilize the flexible response of energy storage and the two-way regulation of charge and discharge to enhance power regulation capabilities, establish a distributed energy industry value chain, and calculate energy storage benefits. Construct a cost measurement model under the constraint of cost minimization, and design an optimal allocation method for energy storage. Experimental results: The total grid-connected capacity of wind power and the average value of abandoned wind rate under the method of this paper are: 970.5MW and 28.26%, respectively. At the same time, the mean value of the profit critical power difference and the discount rate under the method of this paper are: 0.786 yuan/Kwh and 73.248% respectively. It shows that the method fully considers the cost constraints, making it more practical.
