The influence of a transverse field on the phase diagrams for a spin-1/2 Ising superlattice

Using the effective field theory with a probability distribution technique that accounts for the single-site spin correlations, the critical behavior of a magnetic superlattice consisting of two different ferromagnets is examined in a transverse spin-1/2 Ising model. The critical temperature of the system as a function of the intralayer and interlayer exchange interactions is investigated for different cases. A critical value of the interface exchange coupling above which the interlace magnetism appears is found, The effect of the transverse field on the behavior of the superlattice is clarified. We find a number of characteristic phenomena, such as the possibility of finding two critical interface exchange induced by the presence of the transverse field.
