Resonator Approach for Simple Calculation of Total Microwave Energy Accumulated Inside the Shielding Box

摘要
Involving the theory of microwave resonators total energy of microwave radiation passing through the metal screen of electronic devices is under investigation. Two main types of electromagnetic waves excitation in shielded volume at the resonant frequencies are considered including a narrow slit and wired connections. The slit length was found to be main factor in total energy dependence in resonant manner rather then its width. Same dependence between total energy and length of external wiring is identified. According to calculations, microwave energy at shield resonant frequencies can exceed several micro joules that can be destructive for a number of sensitive electronic components.
