Broadband rectangular slotted plate antenna

In this paper, a single-layer single-element probe-fed slotted plat antenna is presented, which features a broad impedance bandwidth and low cross polarisation levels. Experiments on its input impedance and radiation patterns show that by thickening aired substrate supporting the plate, unsurprisingly, the impedance bandwidth reaches up to the order of 20%. Both the stable radiation patterns and the low cross-polarisation levels, typically, lower than -20dB are observed across the pass-band. The 5.7 similar to7.9dBi gains are also obtained within the pass-band.
