摘要
The tilling-in of missing region in an image is known as Image Inpainting. Inpainting is the process of modifying an image or video in a form that is not easily detectable by an ordinary observer. Recently, the image Inpainting technology is a hotspot in computer graphics, its having important value in a edge preservation,to add special effects, removing unnecessary objects etc. In the fine art museums, this Image Inpainting technology is used for damaged paintings. In past years image inpainting is done by professional artist and usually its very time consuming process because it was the manual process. The inpainting technique can be divided into two categories: (1) texture oriented and (2) structure oriented. Both the technique has their advantages and disadvantages. The wavelet depends algorithm adds the benifits of both of these approaches. Wavelet transform is used for various image analysis problems due to its nice multi-resolution properties and decoupling characteristics [1]. This technique proposed to use the benifits of wavelet transforms for image inpainting. The main goal of this process is to reconstruct damaged parts or missing parts in image. This process reconstructs image in such a way that the inpainted region is not detected by an ordinary observer. Wavelets transform shown significant performance in the process of image inpainting. But many wavelets are available which can be used in image inpainting.
