The Share of Growing Systems on Cereals Seed Quality and on Canopy Yield Productivity

Seed germinating ability and vigour have been compared in selected varieties of winter wheat during the three year's trials. The seed was produced using two cultivation intensities and seed of ecological origin. No confirmative differences in laboratory germinating ability have been found, but values of laboratory emergence rate show differences. Ecological seed attains comparable or better values. Reverse dependence has been found for parameters of technological value. Stability of seed values is a variety property. Performance tests proved the highest production capacity of stands established by using treated seed, but ecological seed exceeded by 1,8 % a yield ability of stands established by using non-treated seed from standard cultivation systems.
