摘要：
The Very Large Array has been used to survey the atomic hydrogen emission from the first quadrant of the Galaxy At angular resolution of 1', velocity resolution of 1.2 km/s and RMS brightness sensitivity of 2K. The VLA Galactic Plane Survey (VGPS), covers the Galactic longitude region 18degrees to 67degrees, and is designed to bridge the gap between the Canadian Galactic Plane Survey and the Southern Galactic Plane Survey by observing the equatorial region of the Galaxy that is not accessible to the DRAO and ATNF east-west interferometers.
