Simulation and PID control of bullwhip effect in supply chain

摘要
The bullwhip effect caused by order-up-to replenishment policy with exponential smoothing forecasts is analyzed. A Matlab/Simulink is used to construct the supply chain model and to perform simulation of bullwhip effect based on frequency response. Then PID control is applied to the model. The simulation results show that the value of bullwhip effect is decreased by using PID control which is more effective than the routine general order-up-to system.
