Some Methodological Aspects of Usage COMSOL Multiphysics in Teaching Fundamentals of Computational Mechanics

The module of Fundamentals of computational mechanics for bachelor degree students of Export engineering study program at International studies centre of Kaunas University of Technology is presented. The main focus is made on the solution of dynamic, heat transfer and fluid mechanic problems using concepts of linear algebraic, numerical solution of the second order differential equations, and finite element method. COMSOL Multiphysics as tool for study engineering problems is introduced to students too. This software helps in visualization and understanding of processes taking place in real constructions and experiments.
