Collaborative decision making in the virtual organization

This paper's major thesis is that the firm, if successful, is dependent on the rate which information and knowledge can be absorbed by the organization's internal and external stakeholders. In order to achieve a high rate of information absorption, there is an ever-increasing need to implement information technology within the context of a user-driven, team based decision making process. The authors suggest a production function model to show the possible relationship between decision making structures and information technology.
