Hot deformation and processing maps of Zr-4 alloy

摘要
The hot deformation behaviors Zr-4 alloy in the temperature range of 750 degrees C similar to 950 degrees C and strain rate range of 0.005 s(-1)similar to 50 s(-1) have been studied by using hot compressing testing on a Gleeble-1500 simulator. The flow behavior was described by the hyperbolic sine constitutive equation, and an activation energy of 377.79 kJ/mol was calculated. The processing maps were calculated and analyzed according the dynamic materials model. The optimum processing parameters of hot deformation in the range of this experiment can be attained by the maps, the hot deformation temperature was 930 degrees C similar to 950 degrees C and the strain rate was 0.05 s(-1)similar to 0.8 s(-1) and 10 s(-1)similar to 30 s(-1). The instability zones of flow behavior can also be recognized by the maps.
