Capitalism as an "institutionalized social order". Notes to the work of Nancy Fraser

The extensive work of the "activist long before she was a feminist" Nancy Fraser has as its ultimate objective to analyze the capitalist society to understand its functioning, its inherent tendencies to the crisis and its lines of conflict; and its potential for transformation. In order to theorize about capitalism, develop a multidimensional theory of the crisis and propose the bases for an emancipatory solution to it, the work is furnished with an ambitious conceptual and analytical apparatus, which starts from an eclectic interpretation of the work of Polanyi and Marx, and completes it with contributions from feminist economics, postcolonialism, and ecological thinking. Fraser enriches the theoretical-methodological instruments for the analysis of social movements, places the social question in its historical context and reflects on possible future scenarios to propose solutions.
