摘要：

First-year students (N = 2,678) demonstrated differences on help-seeking attitudes and coping strategies by gender and race. African Americans had more positive attitudes toward seeking help for impersonal issues, whereas Asian Americans were more likely to use avoidant coping strategies. Women were more receptive to professional help than were men.
