A wavelet based blind and readable image watermarking algorithm

摘要
In this paper, a new algorithm for digital image watermarking is proposed. The algorithm is based on the Discrete Wavelet Transform to embed readable watermarks into gray-scale images. In order to increase the algorithm robustness and ensure the watermark integrity, error correction coding techniques are used to encode the embedded watermark. The proposed algorithm is blind, i.e., the embedded watermark is extracted without any reference to the original image. Experimental results demonstrate the low watermark perceptibility and the high algorithm robustness against several common image-processing operations.
