摘要
Aim. The aim of the study was to evaluate the potential Use Of computed tomography (CT) coronary angiography as a diagnostic tool in cases of suspected ischemic cardiopathy encountered at physical fitness certification tot participation in sports. Methods. Since April 2006, a 64-multislice computed tomography system is operated at our hospital 10 study the coronary vessels. The clinical indications for this imaging study are determined by the cardiologist in accordance with the most recent international guidelines. Some of the patient examined with this method come from the sport medicine center. Results. Of the over 300 patients examined, 30 were referred from the sports medicine center. In 21 CT coronary angiography was negative and no further diagnostic procedures were performed; in 9 CT coronary angiography was positive and was further investigated by conventional coronary angiography: in 6 severe coronary disease was confirmed, and it 3 it was not (false positive). Conclusion. CT corollary angiography is a safe, minimally invasive diagnostic tool; based on Currently accepted international guidelines, use of this method is clinically indicated in individuals at low risk of cardiovascular disorders, which, ill our experience include physically active persons undergoing examination for physical fitness certification.
