Performance of serial interference cancellation receivers in synchronous carrier interferometry/MC-CDMA uplink

摘要
In this paper, we investigate the performance of serial interference cancellation (SIC) techniques for a synchronous Carrier Interferometry/MC-CDMA uplink. We compare the performance of various serial interference cancellation receivers which differ in the way users are ordered for interference cancellation. Two primary ordering techniques are investigated: (1) fixed ordering and (2) dynamic ordering. We demonstrate that the SIC receiver employing a dynamic ordering with order being updated after each cancellation, provides the best BER performance (1 dB off from the single user performance at a BER of 10(-3)).
