摘要
This research aims to analyze the use of smart systems in urban public transport, bus mode, in the Sao Jose dos Campos (SP) city, in the perception of public and private managers. For this, the methodological procedures are based on a research with a descriptive qualitative approach carried out from interviews applied to the public authorities and concessionaire companies in the municipality. As a data analysis procedure, the sensemaking technique was used: narrative and visual mapping. It can be concluded that smart public transport systems have advanced in the city and generated many benefits for both the population and the public administration and service providers. The benefits generated were increased safety in public transport, improved quality of buses and service provision, greater control of the fleet, which is done online, and cost reduction. Some investments need to be made to further improve service provision, such as improving the Internet network, as some lines use 2G, which impairs communication between GPS and applications; implement different forms of payment, aiming to make the user's life easier; and expand bus lanes and connecting stations.
