Hyperfine Structure Measurements of the 85Rb and 87Rb 6P3/2 State

摘要
The hyperfine structures of the Rb-85 and Rb-87 6P(3/2) state have been measured based on heterodyne experiment of two compact rubidium optical frequency standards. Having measured the hyperfine intervals, we determine the coefficients of magnetic dipole (A) and electric quadrupole (B) contributions to the hyperfine structures. Our results are A(85) = 8.143(31) MHz, B-85 = 8.36(40) MHz, A(87) = 27.690(32) MHz and B-87 = 4.08(29) MHz. With better stability of optical frequency standard compared with earlier works, the uncertainties of the measurements can be significantly reduced once precisely estimate the systematic frequency shifts.
