Experimental study on the failure process of the homogeneous bank slopes of reservoir during the water level's fluctuation

摘要
Three different angle bank slope models were prepared to show the slope instability process when the outside water level changed. The model test results indicate that when the angle is same, the change of water level is more easier to lead slope unstable, and the degree of damage caused by it is severer than unchanged water level; one of the possible reasons for bank caving is that the increases of buoyancy caused by the raising of ground water level.
