Relationship between school physical education and literature in early childhood education

摘要
This article presents the results of a research that had as objective to investigate if the Physical Education teachers who worked in the education of children had knowledge about literature as one of the contents that could be worked in the Physical Education school. The methodology consisted of a qualitative research, of the descriptive type. A bibliographical and field research was carried out. Four Municipal Child Education Centers (MCEC) from Jatai, Goias, were defined as the research locus, and five Physical Education teachers who taught classes at these sites (respondents to the questionnaire). It was possible to detect two categories of analysis: physical education teachers' knowledge about literature and the relationship between Physical Education and literature in early childhood education. The results showed that teachers see literature as an auxiliary pedagogical resource in Physical Education classes in early childhood education and they believe in the possible pedagogical relationship between these two areas.
