Evaluation of small hydro power

Recent restrictions force small hydropower to aim at high quality levels concerning economy, technic and ecology in order to proof further acceptance and continous exploitation. To evaluate the individual quality of projects or already existing giants the described tool, containing a complex system of small scale features, may serve. Within the evaluation process the achievment of goals in comparism with the best possible situation is to be decided but also interpreted in an overall context The results will support administrative procedures, environmental impact recognition and the design process. Nvertheless a high degree of engineering experience and environmental feeling will be the assumption of a succesful performance.
