摘要：
This paper made a study on color preference of art majored college students under web background. 500 college students, aged from 18 to 23, majored in fine arts were selected as the subjects. 10 main colors in Munsell color wheel: red(5R5/18), red yellow(5YR6.5), yellow(5Y8.5), green yellow (5GY8/12), green(5GB/11), green blue(5BG8/9), blue(5B7.5/9), blue purple(5PB6/14), purple(5P5/26) and purple red(5RP5.5/20), with highest chroma values were taken as the experimental samples, displayed by Lcd monitor. Data were analyzed by Minitab15 software. Results showed: (1) cold colors were popular both in males and females. (2) General preference order was: blue, purple, blue purple, red purple, blue green, red, green, yellow green, yellow, red yellow. Blue is the most favorite color. (3) There was difference between gender and grade, the difference was not significant.
