Identity (and identities) in transit - Cultural globalization

Within our world's new configurations, can the irreducible plurality of cultures be accorded a right of citizenship? Should it be accorded such a right? The attempt to clarify philosophically the currently crucial question of how culture could find a place for diverse realizations must begin with an examination of the very idea of "culture". Between the opposed extremes of ideological closure and aesthetic fragmentation, a reasonable self-orientation is called for - one susceptible to calling itself to a certain ethico-spiritual transcendence. Thus a sketch of a dynamic logically signifying that it belongs to each and every one to become historically pertinent.
