摘要
Due to the large variation of properties, the heat transfer characteristics under supercritical pressure are very different from the well-known laws of forced convective heat transfer below critical pressure. There are now more than twenty empirical heat transfer correlations available for water under supercritical pressure, and compared with each other it is found that: all correlations show a maximum value at a bulk temperature near the pseudo-critical point. These correlations are divided into several groups and compared with experimental data. For the bulk temperature far away from the pseudo-critical temperature, a satisfied agreement is obtained between different correlations, whereas a big deviation is observed as the fluid bulk temperature approaching the pseudo-critical value. The possible reasons for the large deviation are given and analyzed.
