Study of water treatment by an integrated coagulation-ultrafiltration process

摘要
Some aspects of natural organic matter retention in integrated membrane process combining coagulation and ultrafiltration are discussed. The process was performed in an in-line mode, i.e. water after coagulation, without sedimentation step underwent ultrafiltration. The use of alum or polyaluminium chloride as a coagulant significantly improved the performance of UF membranes. The increase of NOM retention as well as the decrease of membrane fouling was observed for from acidic to neutral solutions.
