On informationization and economic sustainable development

The controversy centered on the theory of "limit of growth" ultimately arouse the view of sustainable development, which set demands on shifting from material economic growth pattern to information economic growth pattern. Comparing material economy with information economy, this paper expounds that information economic pattern is sustainable economic pattern, which has advantages on resource utilization, environment protection, society equity, etc. information economy can not only promote economic growth and be the key ingredient to Improve international competitive capacity but also be benefit to promote coordinated and sustainable development among society, economy, resource, and environment. In this paper, the relation between informationizaion and sustainable development is discussed theoretically and practically. And the road of informationization in our country is suggested.
