Polarization effect for vibration detection using photorefractive two-wave mixing in KNSBN:Cu crystals

摘要
This paper describes vibration detection by an optical interferometer based on self-diffraction of photorefractive two-wave mixing with a Cu doped KNSBN crystal and a HeNe laser at 632.8 nm. The sensitivity of this interferometer depends on the polarization direction of the incident beams. The polarization direction effect is studied theoretically and experimentally. The experimental results agree well with the theoretical results. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
