Kansei science in design of humanoid robots

摘要
In this paper the question what role emotions might play in robot design will be presented. It is expected that Humanoid Friendly Robots having some kansei properties will be a good partner for elderly people at home. Such a robot can help in some simple home activity, like preparing foot, cleaning apartment, help to stand up from the bed, supporting walking and many others. Equip with kansei will react to human, changing his face. The human face serves a variety of different communication functions in social interaction. To be a partner acting in Human-Intelligent Machine System the robot should properly react to the human [1]. The author will shortly describe the role of Kansei Science in the design process of so called "Friendly Humanoid Robots" [2,3,7].
